Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's coachbuilding unit bespoke, has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. Made of Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it comes with a flying 'B' paperweight, a set of keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

This is a great method to welcome a brand new car owner.

Aesthetics

As a design-oriented company Bentley takes its aesthetics extremely seriously. It is evident in the precise placement of its quilting as well as the use of leather made from products of cattle and sustainable managed forests, and the innovative patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you approach it, displaying its sculptural beauty and power by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance, featured the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, attention to detail and craftsmanship to detail that has established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand. The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster with digital technology with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof and a crafted docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic "smart" glass that can be switched from opaque to transparent by pressing a button.

A century after its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership following years of wrangling with BMW and BMW - celebrated its centennial in 2019. Prior to the pandemic plan taking the center stage, the company was hosting a variety of special events and launches planned to mark this historic occasion.

Design

Bentley is a renowned brand for its lavish and extravagant automobiles and keys, but even the keys are designed to stand out. The Bentayga Key is constructed of sterling silver and features the large B' logo to signal to everyone that you're driving a Bentley. The key is also embossed with the dates 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.

Bentley Mulliner reinvented and designed the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It features two opposing sets of rear seats that are designed to be reminiscent of luxury private aviation and provides passengers with unbeatable comfort and security. A custom heating, ventilation and air conditioning system has been developed to give each passenger the perfect climate control setting.

Alongside a series of stylishly executed styling changes, the Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that is capable of producing 560bhp as well as 479lbft of torque. This powerhouse is complemented by a brand new suspension architecture that delivers Bentley's trademark hushed ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a custom-designed specification called the Centenary Specification for cars built in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embroidered in Centenary Gold, adding to the sense of celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and the other which starts the vehicle. The key also has a switch for turning on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight spot. This feature makes it easier to get into and out of your car.

bentley key replacement  is made from vegetable tanned leather and takes two days to craft each one. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched, sealed, and then polished to create a high-end result. It is robust compact and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is reminiscent of the Volkswagen Phaeton's massive car key, however it feels more heavy and premium.

Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. The device is inserted into the remote control fob and it shuts it down in the event that the key isn't used for a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that will allow the key to be opened and start the car.

bentley key replacement  reflects the values of the company, which include fine craftsmanship, engineering expertise and cutting-edge technology. The headquarters in Crewe are home to over four hundred employees who are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply the skills passed over generations and then apply them to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry. This is a hallmark of British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own car. The "mood station" allows guests to select images that inspire them. They can range from beautiful landscapes to sporting events. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges will reveal the model of the Bentley, as well as the color and style preferences for the custom Bentley.

The guests are given the keys in a case designed by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps, which illuminate the path of the door opening with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to build and assemble a Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate refusal to take advantage of modern technology. The Crewe factory workers don't make use of a machine to create perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, instead of using the built-in sensors to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.

In the course of the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities using an exclusive example of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley.  bentley key fob  limited edition cars include the key, which displays an original 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
